The Kitchen Island: A Centrepiece of Elegance

At the heart of this project lies the kitchen island, a stunning piece crafted from Calacatta Imperiale, a full-bodied porcelain surface from Atlas Plan, with its 20mm thickness and matte finish, embodies sophistication and elegance.

The Calacatta Imperiale is a marble-effect porcelain stoneware surface that significantly impacts any interior design project. Its milk-white base is crossed with winding veining ranging from gold to orange-red and even light grey, creating a captivating visual display.

The island was customised with a single-chamfer edge detail, adding a touch of modernity to its classic design. Further enhancing its aesthetic appeal, a mitred and bonded ‘waterfall’ end panel was incorporated, along with a hob cut-out. The entire piece was supplied, templated, and installed by MGD, ensuring a seamless integration into the kitchen space.

The Kitchen Perimeter: A Harmony of Functionality and Style

Complementing the kitchen island, the perimeter worktops were crafted from Bianco Extreme Unistone, a fine-grained white quartz compound stone.Ā

The result is a durable, visually appealing surface that perfectly balances functionality and style.

The Bianco Extreme Unistone, with its 20mm thickness and “Velluto” finish, was customised with a single-chamfer edge detail, mirroring the design of the kitchen island and creating a cohesive look throughout the kitchen.

The perimeter also featured 100mm upstands and a polished sink cut-out, adding to its practicality. Two sets of drainage grooves were incorporated into the design, ensuring the worktops are as functional as they are stylish. As with the kitchen island, the perimeter worktops were supplied, templated, and installed by MGD.
