As the frost settles over the Herefordshire countryside and the lights twinkle in the windows of the homes we’ve helped transform this year, the team here at Marble & Granite Designs (MGD) wanted to take a moment to pause.

Usually, this space is reserved for discussing the technicalities of mitred edges, the durability of quartz, or the latest trends in porcelain splashbacks. But as we reach the final pages of 2025, we want to look beyond the stone and focus on the people who make our work possible.

A Year of Beautiful Transformations

2025 has been a remarkable year for us. From sleek, modern apartments in the city to traditional farmhouse kitchens in the Wye Valley, we’ve had the privilege of installing hundreds of worktops. Every project begins with a raw slab of earth—granite formed over millions of years or marble quarried from historic mountains—and ends as the centerpiece of a family home.

We don’t take that responsibility lightly. We know that the kitchen isn’t just a place to cook; it’s where Christmas dinner is prepared, where homework is done, and where friends gather for a glass of wine. Knowing that our craftsmanship plays a small part in those lifelong memories is what drives us.

To Our Customers: Thank You

To every homeowner who trusted us with their renovation: thank you. Choosing a stone surface is a significant investment and a deeply personal choice. Whether you visited our Hereford showroom to hand-pick your slab or used our Hereford Stone offcuts website to buy bathroom vanities from the comfort of your sofa, we are grateful for your business and your trust.

Your feedback, your photos of the finished results, and your recommendations to friends and family are the greatest compliments we could receive. It’s been a joy to see your visions come to life.

To Our Partners: A Shared Vision

We also want to extend our deepest thanks to the architects, interior designers, and builders we’ve collaborated with this year. Your creativity pushes us to refine our techniques and explore new possibilities in stone fabrication. The precision we achieve in our workshop is only possible because of the clear communication and shared high standards we maintain with our professional partners. We look forward to many more stunning collaborations in 2026.

A Message of Hope

Merry Christmas from MGD

The end of the year is naturally a time for reflection, but it’s also a time for hope. While the world can often feel fast-paced and uncertain, there is a grounding comfort in the home. Our wish for you this Christmas is that you find time to slow down and enjoy the spaces you’ve created.

May your holiday be filled with the warmth of a flickering fire, the laughter of loved ones, and the peace that comes with a well-earned rest.

Looking Ahead

We will be taking a short break to spend time with our own families, but we’re already looking forward to the projects that await us in January. We have new materials arriving, fresh design ideas in the works, and the same commitment to precision and quality that has defined MGD since the beginning.

From everyone at the MGD workshop and office, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Warmest wishes,

The MGD Team
